From Studio to Home: A Still Life Journey

This still-life photography project began at UPOP Studio, where I captured my first image in a professional setting. However, my project was unexpectedly put on hold when the school faced bankruptcy. Inspired by this uncertain situation, I decided to continue the series at home, transforming my frustration into creativity. Using tangerines as a central symbol, I explored how my hope for the school faded with each update I received. I received two emails from the school and two from teachers. The first email conveyed hope, but over time, the news worsened. The last email from the school indicated it was no longer operating. This visual narrative unfolds across four images, which illustrate the progression of my feelings from hope to despair regarding the school’s future.
